Tri-ME Spirit Award Announced
|
June 16, 2008 -
We believe that being a champion is about more than just winning a race: it’s about gumption, generosity, valiant efforts, inspiration, and going all out.
That’s why Tri-Maine, Peak Performance, and Cervelo, are teaming together to present the Spirit Award in 2008 to an individual who exemplifies the spirit of a triathlete.
We’re looking for an athlete who gives everything they’ve got when the gun goes off, and even more before and after the race; the one who never fails to cheer you on up the killer hill; the one who runs at a break-neck pace and actually looks like they are enjoying the day; the one who always has a great nutrition tip or extra tube or spare moment to pump you up; the one who gets the entire neighborhood to sign up for the next race. We’re looking for a true champion – a triathlete that gives the sport its good name.
The winner of the Spirit Award will get a 2008 Cervelo Road Bike, compliments of Peak Performance, a softshell jacket, a tribute on each company’s website, a name plaque hanging in both Tri-Maine and Peak locations, and serious bragging rights.
Any athlete racing in three or more Tri-Maine events is eligible. Finalists will be selected by October 15, 2008, and the winner will be announced at the Tri-Maine End of the Season Party in early November.
You tell us who has the most spirit this year – send an email to spirit@myPeakMultisport.com to nominate your fellow worthy athletes today! Please limit nomination to 500 or fewer words - content matters more than volume. |
