3/5 - This is the first of many reminders that there are two laps of the woods during the run portion of triathlon and duathlon (second run).

3/5 - Winners from 2006 are back. Both Erin Brennan and Mike Caiazzo, the overall winners from last year's race, will be competing in the 2007 PolarBear. A number of other well-known triathletes will be gunning to take the title from these two, so be prepared for some record-breaking finish times. In the five year history of PolarBear, only Rob Smith of Cumberland, has won the event twice in a row.

3/5 - The PolarBear will reach a record number of participants in 2007. With expectations of attracting over 500 competitors, the PolarBear will be one of the most popular and well-attended races in Maine.
