2007 Pre Race Letter

Entries are approaching the 200 mark for this year's Shipbuilders race. Because of the location, we have to cap the amount of athletes to 250. Make sure to hit the Registration link to secure your spot in what will be an incredible event!

The Shipbuilders Olympic-Distance Triathlon is one of the most scenic and challenging races in all of New England! Established in 1984, this will be the 23rd annual race. With a super-fast river swim, a gorgeous hilly bike, and a challenging run through the city of Bath and along the river, the Shipbuilders is non-stop adventure from start to finish.

Earlier Start This Year - The race begins at 7:30am!!! Don't forget! We will start running the shuttle at 6:45am for athletes to get to the start.

Change to course from 2006 - The swim will begin at The North End Boat Launch and finish at Waterfront Park, so you will have the opportunity to climb up those amazing ladders on the docks once again. The transition area will be in the same parking lot, however, the bike out, bike in, run out, and run to finish will all take place on Commercial Street. This will alleviate some of the major traffic issues on Front Street that we experienced last year. The rest of the course will remain the same.

Record participation expected at 2007 Shipbuilders! With the success of last year's event, race management anticipates that the Shipbuilders event will easily reach its capacity of 300 athletes. If you are thinking about competing, don't hesitate too long to register because you don't want to be left out!
