Mary Miller WINS Wildflower Triathlon and Sets Course Record!

In an amazing performance that left her competition in the dust, Tri-Maine athlete Mary Miller won the world-famous Wildflower Olympic Distance in record time. Mary, who is from Eliot, Maine, beat out 5,000 other athletes to be the first female across the line and the 39th athlete overall. We are incredibly proud and excited for her. Peak Performance Multisport Sponsoring 2008 Tri-Maine Races

Peak Performance Multisport of Portland will be providing on-site support at all of the Tri-Maine races in 2008. This includes a retail presence, bike mechnics, and a lead vehicle for the bike. Tri-Maine Race Series Announces Partner Events

The 2008 Series will include all of the Tri-Maine Races, as well as The West Kennebunk Fire Company Tri, The Pumpkinman Sprint Tri, the Tri For A Cure, The CELT Challenge, and the Mainiac Tri. By competing in three or more of these races, athletes will be included in the Series Rankings and be eligible for year-end age-group awards.

L.L. Bean of Freeport has signed on as one of the Top Sponsors of the 2008 Lobsterman Triathlon, to be held on September 13th in Winslow Park. The retailer will offer special race weekend discounts and gifts to registered athletes who visit their flagship store.

Tri-Maine is excited to announce the first-ever Rangeley Oquosssoc Mountain Pursuit - The ROMP! Join us the weekend of August 31st for an unforgettable event in the heart of the Western Mountains.

Start with a swim in beautiful Rangeley Lake, bike through the hilly countryside, then run the trails up to the Saddleback Base Lodge. This race will challenge you physically, but you will be rewarded with stunning views, a delicious cookout, and a post-race bash at Saddleback!

Bring the family and spend the long weekend in Rangeley, enjoying all the outdoor activities in this great part of the State.

Whether you are registered for your first or 50th triathlon, there is always an opportunity to improve your performance. Zone Urban Epic 2008 To Minimize Environmental Impact

The Zone Urban Epic is proud to announce that it has has been selected as one of 12 events across the United States to participate in Council For Responsible Sport's Seedling Program. As a seedling race, the Zone Urban Epic has made the commitment to minimizing its overall carbon footprint. Tri-Maine has teamed up with Athletes For A Fit Planet, a sustainability consultant firm out of Massachusetts, to help make Zone Urban Epic as environmentally sustainable as possible.

Tri For A Cure Sold Out!

Maine's first All-Women's Triathlon - THE TRI FOR A CURE - has filled to capacity in just over two months. The race will take place at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland on August 9th. There will be an expo and pre-race dinner on Friday, August 8th featuring a number of keynote speakers. If you didn't sign up in time, you can still partipate as a volunteer. Check out the event website for more information. Prepare to be inspired by the power of the pink!
